Welcome. You have reached the pre-launch landing page for Nodist.pro. We are proud to announce that beta testing of the site will begin on 05/01/26 (more info at bottom of page.).
This landing page is not a placeholder. It is not parked. It is our introduction to the extraordinary journey to come. Call it an origin story, call it a fable. We like to call it a mythos.
Ultimately this project was born out of a need to solve some pretty ugly problems that the matured social media landscape is aware of, but has chosen to do nothing. In thier defense, it may be that they simply have grown too large to scale back and fix it, but the fact still stands, the problems are still present. And here in the present, we are staging our Nodist.pro(test) against the continuation of solutionless landscapes in which even the children are not safe. More on that later... For now...
The Tale of Eggdar
and how he came to be nodist
i. the calling

Meet Eggdar.

Once upon a time, Eggdar found his calling — an extraordinary place called social media. It was his brand new adventure. With great enthusiasm he entered the platform, uploaded his photos, wrote a bio, and proceeded to adding every person he could find to his list of friends.

It was a dream come true. After all, his participation was all that was needed on a social network.

ii. the machine

Poor Eggdar quickly learned that the internet was a dark and violent place. The string of comments he left were being filled by others competing to refill their self-esteems — esteem that had grown low through infinite scrolling of ads targeting him, and what he was already experiencing.

The monstrous machine grew large and devoured all who crossed its path, engulfing them and holding them in its grasp. Every real world friend and family member they had was added to a list that lived within the machine — and they forgot to communicate.

Darkness surrounded Eggdar, but nothing he experienced could tear him away. And the dangers of the internet were picking up his scent. They would have their feast on his soul.

iii. the void

Eggdar was now antisocial. Alone in the world.

iv. the orb
nodist

When out of the darkness, a tiny orb caught his attention. It came near him and then slowly floated away. It had something written on it — but he couldn't make out what it said. He began to follow it.

He continued following it, but he could feel that he may have been the only one...

...who nodist.

v. the question

Suddenly an idea popped into his head. And he spoke to the node.

"Do you like Poetry?" he said with great enthusiasm.

The node stopped in the middle of its journey. Suddenly the word Poetry appeared on its surface and began to glow.

It began to glow — and suddenly others began to notice. A woman walking by stopped for a moment and saw the word poetry written on the glowing node.

"Oh I love poetry — who's your favorite poet?"

But before he could answer, the node suddenly shifted and grew in size...

vi. the crowd

He smiled and replied to her, telling her the tale of how he was named. And with every exchange between these two strangers — the node as their common ground — back and forth they commented. And with every comment the node grew.

Now it was large enough that people from all around the town were gathering. And poetry became the word on everyone's mind.

They nodist.

As she smiled at the growing crowd, having forgotten where she was going, the woman turned to the node and softly she asked it — "Wouldn't you like to hear some poetry by Eggdar?"

The node began to shake and whir. Out of itself, another node popped out like a seed. Once again the word Poetry appeared on its surface. A glowing tether-rope sprang from it, attaching itself to the larger node — forming an unmistakable relationship.

poetry: by eggdar

As the town all looked upon the nodes, Eggdar's eyes widened — as next to it, a colon, and the words By Eggdar softly took their place.

They weren't on a list. Many of them couldn't even see him from their place in the crowd — unless they looked very hard.

But on that night, the crowd all stood facing the nodes, awaiting to hear what words he would provide.

Eggdar had finally been...
